The scent creations of Jillian Switzerland represent the olfactory art at its best. The fresh scents blending premium ingredients and the Swiss perfumery art.

WHEN PERFUME MEETS ART shows different aspects of perfumery, marked by the collaborations of Jillian Switzerland with different forms of art.

Chapter 1
Whoever I am

On November 19, 2022, the perfume brand Jillian Switzerland officially launched a limited collection Come Out at the exhibition "When Perfume Meets Art," marking the first time contemporary art joins perfume.

Niche perfumes exude an exciting and unique kind of scent that is difficult to find, now embracing even greater value by taking inspiration from contemporary artwork. Come Out reveals the story behind the masterpiece "Whoever I Am" of famous artist Le Kinh Tai - an intense but profound emotion of one finding his true self.

Fall in Lust by David Chieze

Fall in Lust holds the original beauty of nature, coming from the raw materials. The moment it creeps into the air, the scent is soon overwhelmed by the fresh and pungent pepper notes. Following up are the layers of oriental spices, intricately interwoven but still gently mesmerizing the sense of smell. As the fragrance tones down, the spices blend into a familiar, pure, and sensual sense that evokes memories and invites us to come to nostalgia and relive them.

Intangible
by Mark Buxton

"Intangible" bears Mark Buxton's DNA: artistry, possessing its own identity, and especially not "popular". We have to spend time slowly contemplating it in order to fully understand the beauty that lies within its layers. Taking his favorite leather note as a base, Mark continuously builds up, adding other notes until he achieves the perfect balance of a color palette. An extraordinary masterpiece of the art of scent was created.

WHOEVER I AM by Le Kinh Tai
200 x 300cm, Oil on canvas, 2018

...When I turned 20, I used to set goals for myself that I'd be expected to achieve for each time of life. Whereupon I little by little walked through each of those turning points with challenges, sweet, gloomy, and harsh...

...During my journey, when facing difficulties, I remind myself that happiness came upon us a lot in the past. So I decided to keep going with the most positive energy...

Just before accomplishing a slight success, I notify myself to look back in time and realize that the path ahead is still long, but to keep my honor in inspection...

So I venture out, again, wishing to "see," feeling, and trying to cope with difficulties, relishing each sweetness and rescuing every small happiness, where youthful dreams and aspirations arise

When I'm forced to face loneliness, which always goes hand in hand and mostly hinders the dreams and ambitions of youth, I always remind myself to "read" again each part of the olden days and nurture its hope.

In every step of trying to conquer myself, I keep reminding myself 'Whoever I am', to always fill up with the freshest energy. I still remind myself "Whoever I am", not to be enticed by momentary success.

The series "Whoever I Am" was created to show appreciation for life and how grateful I am for my existence in this life...

Le Kinh Tai

Liberal, obedient but full of the spirit of life, the source of life is very natural and natural. In each of his works, Le Kinh Tai does not care about beauty or bad, because for him, art in everyone's eyes is aesthetic, without a scale, there is no certain standard. Draw and live, bring the confrontations in everyday life, the arguments in the inner mind, the questions turned into drawings.

Mirella Pomina

Instead of straining harshly, Mirella gently walks around thousands of natural ingredients while immersing herself in the colorful incense gardens. She always aspires to find herself through a completely new and disruptive lens each day with a sophisticated and passionate gaze. Sparkling and magical, the scents under her hands are unmistakable and bring us to our own stages and shine.

Our projects continue to push the boundaries of the art of perfumery by fusing photography and scent. We recognize the art and science behind perfume and aim to offer fragrances that create a synergy between both. We invite you to learn more about our recent projects and how we have created a unique and thought-provoking experience by bringing together the worlds of art and science through perfumery.

Chapter 2
See the Intangible

Come out and Le Kinh Tai have many similarities. Whether it's a painting, or a scent, in contrast to what is as liberal and passionate as the first impression, the embodiment of a mature soul with many scratches and open stories will be what motivates you. discover.

Style: pride, depth, personality

Whoever you are,
whoever I am?

Come out opens with Neroli orange radiating strongly throughout the space, with a slight hint of anxiety from herbs, like a few touches of colorful life. The scent is burning hot but still cool and green like youth, innocent and pure but also full of enthusiastic pride. Connected by a slight sourness of tropical fruit, Come out is suddenly quiet in the midst of a tranquil flower garden with jasmine, peony and subtle roses. Closing with a mixture of musk and moss, wood, the scent brings our minds back to pure nature, to a peaceful place where we can see ourselves from the depths.

Crafted by two world-famous perfumers, Mark Buxton and David Chieze, the latest duo of Jillian Switzerland, INTANGIBLE and FALL IN LUST, represents the highest forms of olfactory art. Documenting the journey of following their scent trail all over Europe, Maika opens us up to a whole new world, where the invisibles are visible. The intangible can be seen. The memories, people, and scenery once engraved in the perfumes are now intertwined with Maika's signature lomography.

Maika Elan

In an age where digital cameras provide more room for trial-and-error, practicality, and perfection, Maika chooses to find beauty in the imperfections with the unique style of Lomography, documenting a moment of today through a lens of yesterday. Seeing the “intangible” and the beauty of the invisible, she is an old-soul thriving within the fast and digital, a photographer explores the hidden world of the hikikomori, and the human bonds that draw them out.
